One8t

One8t are made up of twin brothers Liam and Callum Painter, I had the privilege of completing a Foundation Diploma course with these hardworking and super nice guys last year at Wensum Lodge. They quickly became my best buddies, I loved how passionate they were about their art and the skateboarding scene. Since leaving for different University's they've still been putting effort into their branding and the Norwich scene, choosing Studio 20 (co-run by the equally hard-working Joanna Millington) to host their latest skate video premiere.
Callum Painter specialises in film photography and had filled the walls with his portraits and location shots, interspersed with dangling zines from both brothers. Liam Painter is the illustrator and his work was there for sale as prints, t-shirts and notebooks. There's always plenty of stickers flying around too, you've probably seen them around town, they are marketing masters!
There was a good crowd for the event, including 'stars' of the videos, friends, skaters, family and a special guest appearance from Fred the dog. The vibe was great, Fred worked the room like a pro and wore himself out, I bet he slept well. The show is on until Sunday, with a premiere a second video by Max Armstrong Saturday afternoon. The event page can be found here..
