Wild Thyme

After a rather gruelling core workout with Hench Herbivore (and as Amber was away on business), I was off to lunch with Tim aka Rosebud. I've been wanting to try Wild Thyme for a while so when Tim suggested it I was super keen! The restaurant is situated above Rainbow Wholefoods, in Labour in Vain Yard, a great central location. The exposed brick interior and cute windows for people watching make it a cosy and inviting space.
Everything on the menu sounded delicious and it was hard to choose, I wanted something as healthy as possible though and I was in the right place as it was all good clean food. I went for the raw burger after Tim changed his mind about having it, he had the quinoa and broccoli salad, and we got some sweet potato wedges to share.
My raw burger looked incredible, smashed avocado on top of a patty of well seasoned ground vegetables, it was so good, and filling. The wedges were perfect and Tim said his quinoa was great too, happy customers! There are a selection of fresh vegan cakes to choose from, which were right behind us in fact, I resisted but Tim ordered a chocolate brownie from the dessert board...so many desserts! Well of course I HAD to try the vegan brownie, it was unbelievably good, so squishy in the middle and a delicious dollop of Swedish Glace (best ice cream ever btw). I remembered we needed a picture of it when we were already half way through, so we cunningly turned it round and you'd never have guessed it was half demolished!
I'll definitely be back here, the staff were great, nice atmosphere, and all the food is clearly labelled with dietary requirements, I'd be interested to see how the atmosphere changes at dinner service, so another trip is definitely on the cards, plus I want to try everything!
