Cote Brasserie

Thursday night Amber and I were invited to dine at Cote Brasserie, which has just opened on Exchange Street. Amber checked out the menu online before we went but I'm more maverick and left it as a surprise, the staff were very polite on entering and we were shown to our seats, by the big open windows, very nice! We were surprised with a complimentary glass of kir royale, and some piquant olives while we had a look at the menu...well me anyway Amber knew what she wanted! She had the poulet grille, butterflied chicken with wild mushroom, creme frieche and wild thyme, sounds very Francais to me. I had the risotto vert, which was really good, broad beans, spinach, green beans, mint and rocket all combined with a light sauce and dainty rice, I really enjoyed it. We had sides of French beans and sour dough bread, which we shared, and a glass of white each. The whole vibe of the restaurant is grown up French based cuisine, there is a continental feel to the place especially with the doors open and the sun going down outside.
Tres bien!
