Pho Stop at The Alley

Norwich has a new taste of South East Asia at The Alley Cafe, Pho Stop is the newest venture by chef George Bacon. George spent many years in Asia and Australia where he encountered pho (fo), a dish consisting of rice noodles, meat or tofu and vegetables. I really enjoyed my bowl of pho, maybe not one to eat on a first date as there's some slurping involved, but super healthy and filling. I felt really good after eating all the lovely herbs and veg in it. I went for the vegan tofu option but there is chicken or beef which I heard from other customers was great.
If you've not been to The Alley before then get yourself in there, simple tables and stools are surrounded by about as much art as you can handle. In the daytime its a relaxed place for a coffee or a meeting, and in the evening it's filled with music and flowing drinks. When the sun finally comes out you can perch outside and watch the world go by, nothing beats a good latte in the sun.
